Born Pretty Store--15 Piece Nail Art Brush Set Review

Happy Saturday! I'm so happy the weekend is here. That means nail polish play time, football, and catching up on homework. Today I have a 15 piece nail art brush set from Born Pretty Store to review.

The set comes with a variety of different shapes and sizes of nail art brushes.

It comes in this plastic sleeve which you can use to store the brushes in.

Since I have small brushes now, I finally gave advanced stamping a try. It is not as easy as it looks! I'm going to have to practice some more.

I used China Glaze Highlight of My Summer and stamped using MoYou London Pro 14 XL in Konad Black. I filled in the flowers with OPI Pink Friday. The textured polish is OPI Liquid Sand Pussy Galore.

Here's another manicure I did a couple months ago with loose glitter and the big white fan brush. It was my first time using loose glitter, but it was super easy!

I wish I had some art skills so I could draw freehand nail art with all of these different sized brushes. The ones I have used so far worked perfectly and allowed me to create manicures I have never tried before. You can purchase this set of brushes here for $5.96. China Glaze High Hopes & MoYou London Pro 02 XL

Happy Saturday! Wow this week felt super long! Today I'm relaxing and swatching away. Today I have a mani I wore 2 weeks ago to a wedding and it matched my dress perfectly. I used China Glaze High Hopes and stamped using MoYou London Pro 02 XL in Essie Good as Gold. The glitter is OPI All Sparkly and Gold from the 2013 Mariah Carey Holiday collection--I actually got all 18 polishes from the collection and I really love the ones I've tried so far. You'll be seeing me use them in my upcoming posts. This is one of my favorite manis I've done in awhile! I was a bit hesitant to use this image because placement is crucial. Luckily I topcoated before I stamped and I was able to get the placement right on my 2nd attempt on each nail. How do you guys fix a stamping boo boo?

Bunny Nails HD-C & HD-C Stamping Plate Review

Hi friends! I am supposed to be doing my research paper that's due tomorrow, but it's really hard to focus when you have new stamping plates and naked nails! Today I have new Halloween themed stamping plates from Bunny Nails. They're plates HD-C and HD-D and they have tons of designs on each one. Each plate measures 14.5 x 9.5 cm and full nail designs are 2 x 2.5 cm. I added my scans of the plates below. Click to enlarge so you can see all of the cool designs up close. I already did 2 manicures using these plates!

Here I used OPI My Vampire is Buff and stamped using HD-C in OPI Skyfall and Konad Black. I loooove how it turned out! I can also see myself using the background splatters a lot to do a mess free splatter or water-spotted mani.

Here I used China Glaze Liquid Leather, Color Club Almost Famous, China Glaze Igniting Love, and Color Club Puccilicious and stamped using both HD-C and HD-D in Konad Princess Apple Green and Konad Black. How cute are these?!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first tried the plates out because this was my first time trying Bunny Nail's stamping plates, but I was pleasantly surprised and 100% satisfied with these. There is a wide range of images and themes on the plates that I wish Halloween was just a little further away so I could have more time to play with them. I had no issues picking up or transferring any of the images. You could purchase each plate here for $16.99 with free worldwide shipping on HD plates.

Pink to Aqua Gradient & Cheeky Jumbo C

Hi friends! Quick post today. Here's a mani I wore a few weeks back to the Eyes On Indie Nail party. For the gradient I used China Glaze Surreal Appeal, Essie Play Date, and Color Club Age of Aquarius and stamped using Cheeky Jumbo C in Konad Black. My ring and pinky finger have China Glaze Liquid Leather. I wanted to do nails to match my shirt that day and they came out perfectly. I love it when that happens!

Bundle Monster 2013 Create Your Own Stamping Plate Collection Review

The wait is over! Bundle Monster has finally released their 2013 Create Your Own Stamping Plate Collection. Earlier this year, they had fans submit their designs to be chosen for this collection. The process of selecting winners and producing the plates has taken some time, but I'm glad I finally have them to review for you today. The set is comprised of 26 plates and all of the images are fan created. There is a huge variety of images in this collection including patterns, tribal print, nautical, nerdy, gamer, sugar skulls, sports, music, animals, and romantic images. The list goes on, but when I say variety, I mean it! There are a lot of full nail images and single images as well. Here are a few manis I have already did using the new plates.

Here's the packaging for the plates. It has a zip lock so you can keep the plates in there if you wanted to. You can also see the plates have the same backing as their other sets to prevent you from getting cut on sharp edges.

All of the plates come with blue film to protect the plates from getting scratched in transit. You must remove it before use.

OPI A Piers to be Tan stamped using BM 410 in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Orange Impulse

It was so much fun creating this crime scene mani. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather and OPI My Boyfriend Scales walls and stamped using BM 421, 414, 416, and 409 in Konad Yellow, MASH Black, China Glaze With Love, and Konad White.

The small circles on the DNA image (pinky) didn't want to pick up on my Konad stamper, but I switched to my XL squishy stamper and it picked up with ease. I will also say I am impressed at how clear the caution tape details came out so crisp.

OPI My Boyfriend Scales walls stamped using BM 423 in Konad Black. The red is OPI First Date at the Golden Gate and the glitter is China Glaze Glistening Snow. The zig zag image is the image I was looking forward to the most because achieving this image with tape/zig zag scissors or polish decal/zig zag scissors is not always user or time friendly. (Manicure inspired by Selenadee Nails)

The new set is the exact same size as BM 3 and BM Holiday sets.

Click for enlargement. I don't usually include my scans, but I really want to show all of the creative images in this set.

I really love this set. The images are so fun and creative and I am already planning out so many manicures. There is a ton of variety and the quality is just as good as BM's other sets. The best part--the whole set of 26 plates is only $16.50. It is their largest and cheapest set. You can purchase Bundle Monster's 2013 Create Your Own Stamping Plate Collection here. Enter coupon code "thanks" for 10% off your order. Coupon code valid until November 15, 2013.

OPI My Very First Knockwurst & PUEEN 27

Good morning! Today I have a stamped manicure using one of my new stamping polishes. It feels great to wear a manicure that I got to be creative with and not review a product. Sometimes I feel like I grow apart from my roots (stamping) when I do a lot of reviewing. That's not to say I don't enjoy reviewing products, but I just love myself a nice stamped manicure! For this manicure, I used OPI My Very First Knockwurst and stamped using PUEEN 27 in China Glaze Red-y & Willing. Red-y & Willing is also the color on my index and pinky. It's one of the new polishes from China Glaze's Autumn Nights (Fall 2013) collection. The ones I got from that collection to stamp with are: Scandalous Shenanigans, Tongue & Chic, Don't Make Me Wine, and Red-y & Willing.  I usually ALWAYS buy complete China Glaze collections, but I haven't been impressed with their last 2: On the Horizon or Autumn Nights collection. That's actually kind of good because I have been buying a lot of new MoYou London stamping plates so at least there is balance in the universe (my bank account) lol.

Winstonia Store--3D Nail Art Charms Review

Happy Humpday! Today I have some 3D charms to review from Winstonia Store. I received 2 different designs: heart charms with rhinestones and bow charms with pearls. Check out the super girly manicures I created with them!

Zoya Layla and Color Club Harp On It with 3D heart charms.

China Glaze For Audrey and OPI Liquid Sand Solitaire with 3D bow charms

I applied the charms using topcoat, but if I were to wear them out, I would highly recommend using nail glue instead. Nail glue would help the charms to adhere to the nail better because the charms are large and not all of the bottom surface is flush to the nail. What I did like is that these charms were easy to apply, are super eye catching, and reusable. I will admit that at first when I got them I thought they might be too big, but after putting them on, I really loved how pretty and girly my nails looked. You can purchase a set of 10 3D charms here for $4.95. Use code "HEARTNAT" for 10% off this item until Aug. 31.

Summer Gradient & Bundle Monster BM 301

Hi my polished pretties! I apologize for the 2 week hiatus! I just took my board exam to get my registered nursing license over the weekend so I was studying like a madwoman for the past couple of weeks. I really wanted to post, but I had to force myself to stop playing with my nails and focus lol. Hopefully I get the results soon, but my exam ended early and I felt very confident so I have a good feeling that I passed. I'll keep you posted ;] Here's a mani I did as soon as I got home! I did a gradient using China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze Dance Baby, and Essie Play Date and stamped using BM 301 in Konad White. I really love how these turned out! Now that my exam is over, I am going to use this time to finally do some "summery" manis and catch up on reviewing products.

Check out my awesome phone case I got a couple weeks ago. I looove it!

Mint Mani for Talia Joy

Hey everyone. Today I have a mint mani to take part in #mintmanisfortaliajoy. The nail community is doing mint colored manis today in honor of Talia Joy Castellano, a 13 year old girl who battled 2 kinds of cancer for over 6 years and passed away this week. Talia was an aspiring MUA, YouTube beauty guru, and an inspiration to many with her positive outlook on life and by reaching so many of her goals before she passed. Prayers go out to her family. For this mani, I used China Glaze Highlight of My Summer and did an accent nail using China Glaze I Herd That stamped using Konad M57 in Konad Black. I also added some gold square studs because Talia liked her nails blinged out!
