Kiesque Liquid Palisade Review

Today I have a review on Kiesque Liquid Palisade. This was the first product I saw when these nail barrier products came out and I really wanted to try it, but the price tag was a little to steep for me. When I was asked to review this product, I jumped at the opportunity! Liquid Palisade is a product you apply around your nails and cuticles for a mess and hassle free clean up. I chose to try it out with a gradient and some stamping.

After removing the Liquid Palisade. There's minimal clean up left. That's as good as it's going to get with a gradient and stamping!

I used OPI Let's Be Friends, Small + Cute =❤️,  & Look at my Bow and stamped using MoYou London Bridal 06 in Mundo de Unas Black.

Before trying out Liquid Palisade, I would use Liquid Latex that I purchased from Amazon. I liked liquid latex because you get a ton of product (4 oz) for about $9, but it dries super slow and I have to apply it with a Q-tip because it doesn't come with a brush and it also ruined a nail brush I tried to apply it with. Liquid Palisade is more expensive, but it applies so much easier with the brush that it comes with and dries so fast. The only cons about Liquid Palisade are that it's a bit pricey ($14 for 0.08 oz) and sometimes when you use it with stamping, removal of the LP takes a little bit of the stamped image along with it if it's near the sides of your nail. Other than that I really enjoyed using this product and I find myself using it more often than my Liquid Latex now. You can purchase this product here for $14.

Valentine's Day Gradient & Hearts

Hello all! Valentine's Day is coming and I've been enjoying seeing everyone's themed manis lately. Today I have my first one for the month that I actually did in December. I started my gradient for a New Year's Eve mani and decided it was suited better for this occasion. I did the gradient with China Glaze Spring in My Step, China Glaze Petal to the Metal, China Glaze Strike a Rose, and Barry M Passion Fruit. I stamped with MoYou London Festive 20 in Mundo de Unas Black. My sister got me the Barry M polish on her trip to Scotland recently so I'm glad I found it a mani-home and finally have a Barry M polish in my collection.

Madam Glam Baby Pink & OPI Which Is Witch

Hi friends! Today I have a quick post for you today. I'm moving this weekend so I've been super busy getting everything ready for that. Moving all of my nail polish is an enormous task in itself, but moving that and everything else has me feeling super swamped!

Here's Madam Glam Soak-Off Gel Polish Baby Pink with a glitter gradient using OPI Which Is Witch. I adore this shade of baby pink and I got so many compliments on it. It's a great palette cleanser without going with a nude. You can purchase this polish here for $19.95.

Happy Easter from the Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter! Today I have an Easter mani to share with you. I did a pastel gradient over a white base using all China Glaze polishes: Peachy Keen, Light As Air, Lemon Fizz, and Re-Fresh Mint. Then I stamped using Bundle Monster BM-H09 and BM-H10 in Mundo de Unas White. This was so hard to photograph with all of the light colors, but I'm sure you guys get the idea.

Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamped Gradient

Aloha beauties! Today I have my first super summery design of the summer. I'm bummed summer is almost over and I'm just getting around to it, but better late than never! I just ordered a bunch of MoYou London Tropical plates from their new collection and I'll probably have to wait until next summer to really get a lot of use out of them. At least I know I will definitely have time next summer because I'm graduating in May 2015--yay! I'll be filling out my papers for graduation this weekend and it's pretty exciting to know I'll be done soon with my seemingly endless time in school. Speaking of school, I know a lot of you guys probably started school again this week just like me so I hope you all had a great first week back! Enough school talk, now nail talk. Here's OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian stamped using MoYou London Pro 13 XL in Mundo de Unas 4, 11, and 39. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. This totally made me wish I was in Hawaii to flaunt these!

Polynesian Tribal Tattoo Nail Art

Hi summer friends! Sorry it's been another month since I've last posted. I really wanted to do a lot of summer themed nail art since I'm out of school for now, but work has still kept me really busy. Since I last posted I went to Island Reggae Festival, celebrated my 3 year wedding anniversary, and went to Disneyland and California Adventure parks. Today I'll be sharing the mani I wore to Island Reggae Festival. It's an annual all day event that has Polynesian music artists performing at Great America and there's vendors, food, and best of all beer!

I first did a white base for the gradient with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. For the gradient I used OPI Red Hot Rio, OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana, and Essie Mojito Madness and then stamped using MoYou London Explorer 15 XL and MoYou London Explorer 19 in Konad Black.

ILNP Gradient & MoYou London Pro 05 XL

Happy Friday! The weekend is here and that means the NFC championship game is this Sunday! I'm so excited. It's going to be a huge game because of the crazy rivalry between the 49ers and the Seahawks so you know what I'll be doing this weekend--screaming at the tv. Anyways, enough football talk, more nail talk! I did these peacock nails last week and I wasn't really happy with how my pics came out so I've been lagging on posting them. I did a gradient using I Love Nail Polish (ILNP) Washing Ashore and ILNP Contraband and stamped using MoYou London Pro 05 XL in OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The gold I used to stamp with showed up so well over a dark creme in a recent mani I did, but was hard to capture over a shimmer. I'll probably just use it over cremes from now on. I wish the pics of this came out better, it really was pretty in person!

Here's a cell phone pic under my LED lamp. It shows the purple tips much better!

Purple Presents for Christmas!

Merry Christmas my loves! Here's a mani I did last week and I wasn't sure if I was going to end up posting it or not. I got my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette last week at Ulta and I was inspired by the plastic bag I got. It's a white to purple gradient with purple and white snowflakes. Since I already used snowflakes for a different holiday design, I used presents! I did the gradient using OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and China Glaze Tart-y for the Party and then stamped using MoYou London Happy Birthday 01 XL and 02 in Color Club Wild at Heart. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Oh, and I got Clarins 230 aka unicorn pee for Christmas!!! I gave hubby his gift a little early last week and he LOVED it so hard that right away he said he wanted to get me unicorn pee. I told him a couple years ago that I really wanted it, but every time he offered I told him no it's okay because it was always around $100 and there was always something else I wanted instead. Well, I found a listing for about $68 and I had a $40 ebay gift certificate from my birthday last month and we got it for $28.50. Now THAT'S a steal. This is a super rare and discontinued polish that nail polish lovers drool over and I'm so happy she's mine now =]

Catching Fire Inspired Nails

Hi friends! I was trying to go to sleep right now, but I can't. Partially because I took a caffeine pill this morning to stay awake to do homework and partially because I'm too excited to share this mani with you. I finished reading Catching Fire about a week ago so I could finish it before the movie comes out. If I could do freehand nail art, I would've drawn a mockingjay pin, but since I can't I got creative. I decided to do a mani inspired by Katniss's wedding dress she wore in her interview before the Hunger Games. I used so many polishes for this mani I don't think you want to know, but I'll go ahead and tell you anyways.

For my index and middle I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and stamped using MoYou London Pro 06 XL in Essie No Place like Chrome. On my ring finger I did a gradient first using creme polishes and then with some shimmery polishes. The colors I used are: OPI All I Want for Christmas is OPI, OPI My Paprika is Hotter than Yours, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze Bend over Backwards, China Glaze Riveting, and OPI Oy Another Polish Joke. I stamped using MoYou London Pro 05 XL in Konad Black. My pinky has OPI Liquid Sand Emotions.

Whew that was a lot of polish! That might be a record for me for most polishes used in one manicure lol. I'm going to watch the movie on my birthday this Sunday. Can't wait! Who else is going to watch Catching Fire this weekend?

Pink to Aqua Gradient & Cheeky Jumbo C

Hi friends! Quick post today. Here's a mani I wore a few weeks back to the Eyes On Indie Nail party. For the gradient I used China Glaze Surreal Appeal, Essie Play Date, and Color Club Age of Aquarius and stamped using Cheeky Jumbo C in Konad Black. My ring and pinky finger have China Glaze Liquid Leather. I wanted to do nails to match my shirt that day and they came out perfectly. I love it when that happens!

Bundle Monster 48 Piece Nail Art Glitter Collection Review

Hey beauties! Today I have a 48 piece nail art glitter set from Bundle Monster to review. The set I have has 48 bottles of nail glitter, but they offer both 48 and 96 bottle sets on their site. The set comes with a variety of nail art glitter in a variety of colors and shapes including star, hex, diamond, heart, bar, loose, and "fish egg" beads. Let's take a look at what the set comes with and some manicures I created with it. Feel free to click any image to see an enlargement & pretty glitter ;]

China Glaze Are You Jelly with a gradient using loose glitter.

OPI Pink Friday with light pink, medium pink, silver, and green "fish egg" beads for an accent.

China Glaze Liquid Leather and gold holo star glitter.

I really enjoyed creating different manicures using this nail art glitter set. There's so many different kinds of glitter that I don't see myself running out of ideas or glitter anytime soon. For each manicure, all I used to apply the different nail glitter was clear polish--super easy! You can purchase the 48 piece set here for $13.99 or the 96 piece set here for $18.99.

Summer Gradient & Bundle Monster BM 301

Hi my polished pretties! I apologize for the 2 week hiatus! I just took my board exam to get my registered nursing license over the weekend so I was studying like a madwoman for the past couple of weeks. I really wanted to post, but I had to force myself to stop playing with my nails and focus lol. Hopefully I get the results soon, but my exam ended early and I felt very confident so I have a good feeling that I passed. I'll keep you posted ;] Here's a mani I did as soon as I got home! I did a gradient using China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze Dance Baby, and Essie Play Date and stamped using BM 301 in Konad White. I really love how these turned out! Now that my exam is over, I am going to use this time to finally do some "summery" manis and catch up on reviewing products.

Check out my awesome phone case I got a couple weeks ago. I looove it!

China Glaze Aquadelic with China Glaze Techno Gradient

Hi loves! I've been too busy to do my nails lately. Last week was 4th of July stuff, this weekend I went to Island Reggae Fest at Great America, and then now I'm getting ready to go camping this weekend for my 2 year wedding anniversary. Not to mention I have to study for my RN licensure exam coming up, eek! I had the equivalent of writer's block with my nails over the weekend so here's what ended up happening when I ran out of time lol. I used China Glaze Aquadelic and did a glitter gradient using China Glaze Techno. These 2 may have actually been untrieds so at least this mani was not a complete disappointment. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Rainbow Gradient & PUEEN 38

Hey beauties! Today I tried out PUEEN stamping plates for the first time. I have seen a lot of people using these lately and I just had to buy some of my own. I really like the variety of images on them. For this mani I did a gradient using China Glaze Bottoms Up, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, and Essie In the Cab-ana and then stamped using PUEEN 38 in Konad Black. The accent is OPI Metallic 4 Life. I had originally had all of my nails with the gradient, but during clean up my middle finger sadly got destroyed and instead of redoing the entire nail I decided to just use a glitter polish. What do you ladies do when a nail gets messed up, do you leave it alone or fix it?

Nude, Gold, & Coral Gradient Dotticure

Hey loves! Oops I didn't realize it's been a whole week since I posted. It was my hubby's birthday this weekend and I guess I've just been busy with that, preparing for the NCLEX, and other nursing recertification things. No worries though, I have pics of a few manis that I did that just need editing. Here's a gradient dotticure I wore for 6 entire days. I can't remember the last time I wore a mani for that long so I hope that gives you an idea of how busy I was lol. I used a base of OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons and made the dots using Essie Good As Gold and Essie Come Here. This design will always be a favorite of mine. I used this tutorial from Chalkboard Nails. You should all give it a try!

OPI Anti-Bleak & OPI Pink Yet Lavender Reverse Glitter Gradient

Hi beauties! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I know I am. I had so many graduation festivities last week that all I want to do this weekend is sleep. Don't worry, I did my nails too. Here's a mani I wore a couple weeks ago when my preceptorship ended and I was finally able to do my nails. I used OPI Anti-Bleak and then did a reverse glitter gradient using OPI Pink Yet Lavender. Reverse glitter gradients are really growing on me because they're very pretty and take very little time to do!
