Polished by KPT New Releases & Re-stock

Happy December! I have so much to announce that I have a second post for you today. Today Katherine of Polished by KPT is having a re-stock at 12pm PST. She's releasing 2 new shades and re-stocking popular shades as well. First I'll show you the 2 new shades and then some swatches of other shades that will also be available today in the re-stock. All swatches are shown with topcoat.

Liquid Gold--3 coats. Light gold with darker gold flakes that create a foil effect. I used topcoat here, but no topcoat is needed as it dries smooth. This is one of my favorite Polished by KPT polishes if not my favorite. I felt so fancy wearing this one!

Dark Angels--4 coats. Black jelly base with a linear holographic effect and red shimmer.

Let's take a look at the already released thermals!

Blue is Beautiful--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

Dichromate--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

Nostalgia--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

Molybdenum--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

Country Road--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

La Katrina--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

Blood as Thick as Gold--UL is when warm, BR is when cold.

...and last, but not least, here's Corrupted Soul. A multi-color, multi-size glitter topper.

Wow, that was pic heavy. I even went back and deleted some because usually I show each thermal with several photos. Which shades are your favorite? Again, these will be available today here in Polished by KPT's re-stock today at 12pm PST. Happy shopping!

Limited Edition Holiday Trio by Lacquer Lust, Polished by KPT, & Serum No. 5

Good morning beauties! Today I have swatches of a special indie polish holiday trio to show you. Lacquer Lust who is known for holos, Polished by KPT who is known for thermals, and Serum No. 5 who is known for glow in the dark polish have all teamed up to create a beautiful limited edition holiday trio. All swatches are shown with topcoat.

Lacquer Lust Ho Ho Holidays--3 coats. Green linear holo with red micro shimmer.

Polished by KPT Naughty & Nice--3 coats. Rose pink (warm) to red wine (warm) thermal with red, gold, and blue micro shimmer.

Here's Naughty & Nice in full transition. Upper left is when warm, bottom right is when cold.

Serum No. 5 Yule Light Up My Life--1 light coat over a white base. Yes, I said light coat, this baby is packed with glitter!

Here's a glow in the dark shot of Yule Light Up My Life. This one glows white.

This holiday trio will be available today at 12pm PST from Lacquer Lust's online shop, Polished by KPT's online shop, and Serum No. 5's online shop. This is an awesome "indie sampler" because you get to try one polish from what Jo, Katherine, and Victoria are all known for. Set your alarms, you've got just over 3 hours before their shops go live!

Picture Polish Mad Magenta--Swatch & Review

Hey lacqueristas! Oh my goodness someone get me off my computer, I've been doing more online shopping than I planned on. Good news is I am saving tons of money on what I would have spent on regular price so I can't complain, but seriously, after this post I should really get off my computer! Yikes!

Today I have my 3rd Picture Polish to show you. Over the past couple weeks I showed you Electric Dream and Freya's Cats, so now let's take a look at Picture Polish Mad Magenta. This is one of those slightly neon purply pinks which I absolutely love, but have a hard time capturing. Swatch below is 3 coats plus topcoat, but you could get away with 2. Mad Magenta had a smooth formula, was easy to apply, and had a fast dry time. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the formula because similar neon colors like this are usually tricky to apply.

I hadn't really intended on posting this stamp job since I was just messing around, but here's Mad Magenta stamped using PUEEN 25 in Konad White.

You can purchase this polish here for AU$10 which is around $9.11 in USD. Shipping is a bit pricey depending on what country you're from, so if you're in the US like me, you can also check out Llarowe, Overall Beauty, or find a seller in your country on Picture Polish's Network page.

Picture Polish Freya's Cats--Swatch & Review

Happy Saturday! Oh man tomorrow is my birthday and I still haven't done any birthday nails. I'm not sure if I'm going to get a chance to! Oh well life happens and this week has just been really busy for me. Last week I showed you Picture Polish Electric Dream and today I have another Picture Polish to show you. Today I have Freya's Cats! It's an "electric blue jelly holo (scattered) that has NO glitter." Swatch shown with 3 coats and topcoat.

This last pic is without flash. This one is more color accurate.

I really loved this polish. It was just as beautiful on my nails as it looked in the bottle. The formula was a bit thin and dragged during my first coat, but it evened out nicely. You can purchase this polish here for AU$12 which is around $11.24 in USD. Shipping is a bit pricey depending on what country you're from, so if you're in the US like me, you can also check out Llarowe, Overall Beauty, or find a seller in your country on Picture Polish's Network page.

She' Nail Polish--Swatches & Review

Happy Humpday! Sorry haven't posted in a few days. It's my birthday this Sunday so I'm trying to finish up a bunch of assignments before then. I wanted to do birthday nails and Catching Fire nails this week, but I don't think I'll have enough time for both. I guess we'll see what I end up wearing on my nails this weekend soon enough. Today I have some swatches of an indie brand called She' Nail Polish. It's created by Rashetta from NYC, is not tested on animals, and the polish is 4-free of formaldehyde, toluene, camphor and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). 2 of the polishes are from her "Falling into Fall" collection and 1 is from her "Fight Like a Girl" cancer collection. Swatches are shown with topcoat.

Lyght--3 coats. Streaky first coat, but leveled out nicely.

Leave Me--3 coats. This one had a slightly thin formula, but built up nicely. There are some tiny green particles in this one that I wasn't crazy about.

Libby--3 coats. Good creamy formula.

My favorite of the 3 is Libby, but I also really liked Lyght. What I like about this brand is that it's refreshing to see an indie nail polish line offer creme polishes--my favorite finish! You can purchase these polishes here from the She' Nail Polish site for $6 each

Picture Polish Electric Dream--Swatch & Review

Happy Saturday loves! Wow it was freezing yesterday and it still is this morning. My fingers and face get so cold I feel like I can't get anything done. I just want to stay in bed under my warm blankies all day. Too bad today is homework day! (I'm in California and I bet my freezing weather is nice weather for a lot of you.)

Today I have my very first Picture Polish to show you. I was contacted by Jules a few months back about reviewing some and I was so excited. I got to choose one and then 3 others were sent to me. I chose Electric Dream so that's the one I'm showing you today and OMG is she a BEAUTY! Here's the description from the Picture Polish Website "Electric Dream is a neon coral with gold sparks and  holo (scattered) that has NO glitter!"

2 coats plus topcoat. Smooth formula that was easy to apply and quick dry time.

I decided to add some nail art so I could wear it as a full mani. Here's Picture Polish Electric Dream stamped using MoYou London Sailor 05 XL in China Glaze Passion. I've wore this mani for 6 days and I had no chips and minimal tip wear.

I cannot tell you how much I love this polish. I love the color, formula, sparkle, and the fact that is has no glitter makes me love it even more. It has pushed its way up to my top 10 favorite polishes. You can purchase this polish here for AU$12 which is around $11.24 in USD. Shipping is a bit pricey depending on what country you're from, so if you're in the US like me, you can also check out Llarowe, Overall Beauty, or find a seller in your country on Picture Polish's Network page. Stay tuned because I'll be sharing one Picture Polish beauty a week for the next 3 weeks!

Polish TBH Dark & Difficult Times and Pumpkin Pasties Swatches

Hi friends! Yesterday I posted some nail art over a Polish TBH polish and today I have a couple Polish TBH swatches to show you. I met the indie polish maker Chrissy at the Eyes on Indie nail party back in September and she is super sweet! I brought my sister with me to the event and she bought some polishes and let me play with them--score! I personally don't like lending my nail polish out to anyone because I'm anal and don't want anyone getting polish all over the neck of the bottle. Does anyone else feel that way or am I just super anal? Haha enough about my craziness, onto the polish!

Dark & Difficult Times

Pumpkin Pasties over Essie Tart Deco

I was really pleased with both of these polishes. Dark & Difficult Times builds up nicely on its own and the glitter in it is really pretty. Pumpkin Pasties is the most glitter packed polish I've used to date. I didn't do any fishing, but instead I took off a lot of polish from the brush before applying because swatches I have seen look like there was too much glitter applied. This made application really easy because I hate fishing for glitter and trying to spread it all over my base because sometimes my base color will get messed up that way. These are both from Polish TBH's fall Diagon Alley Collection. You can purchase these polishes here. Chrissy's shop is currently closed, but she will re-open in less than a week on Nov. 12.

Polish TBH Dark & Difficult Times & Bundle Monster 323

Hey lacqueristas! Today I have some nail art I meant to post around Halloween, but I didn't get around to it last week. Luckily it doesn't have a straight up Halloween theme to it, it's just a bit darker than the nail art I usually do. I used Polish TBH Dark & Difficult Times and stamped using BM 323 (barbed wire) and MoYou London Pro 07 XL (bird) in Konad Black. I don't typically like grey on me, but I really like how this all turned out and I don't mind it here. It probably helps that it's a blue leaning grey. Do you ladies have any colors that don't flatter you?

Polished by KPT Hot Like Wasabi & Kelvin Bleu Swatches

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I was practicing advanced stamping over the weekend so I will be sharing a few of those attempts with you soon. Today I have a couple Polished by KPT polishes to show you. I have already shown you a few in October, but today I have ones that are both thermal and holographic--Hot Like Wasabi and Kelvin Bleu. These 2 are my favorites that I have tried so far because of the nice formula and the scattered holo effect.

Hot Like Wasabi--cold. This color reminds me of the Disney Movie Princess and the Frog. Maybe that's why I like it so much.

Hot Like Wasabi--warm.

Hot Like Wasabi--in transition.

Kelvin Bleu--cold.

Polished by KPT Nightcrawler Swatch

Hi friends! Quick post today. This week I have 2 huge papers due and being the procrastinator that I am, I have waited until now to do them and have no time for nails =P. Here's a swatch of an indie polish--Polished by KPT Nightcrawler. It's both a thermal and duochrome polish!

Here it is warm...

...in transition...

...and cold.

Here's a collage of the full transition.

I didn't expect to like it this much since I rarely wear blue polish, but it's just so gorgeous! Thermal polish is becoming so popular now with indie brands. Have you tried thermal polish yet and how do you like it? You can purchase Nightcrawler here.
