Color Club Indulge Me & MoYou London Fashionista 04

Hi friends! It's almost 2015 and I'm sure you're all deciding what to wear for your NYE mani. I just did a NYE mani yesterday, but most likely it won't be what I actually have on that day because it takes awhile for one of my manis to actually go from SD card to laptop to being edited and posted. I don't know why I lag so much lol. This mani is from a month ago! I used Color Club Indulge Me and stamped using MoYou London Fashionista 04 in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Orange Impulse. The stamping color didn't show up on the base as great as I would have hoped, but it was one of those things where there's no going back once your first nail is stamped! To see a swatch of Indulge Me without the stamping check out my post here.

2 Color Peacock Feather Stamping Tutorial

Hi again friends! I'm so sorry it's been 4 months since I last posted anything on here. I got my first nursing job in February and it's full time plus I was still going to school part-time so that pretty much occupied all of my time. I felt like I was drowning in life for the past few months. I'm still working full-time, but I'm on summer break right now so I hope to post as much as I can this summer before school starts back up again in the fall. I've totally missed blogging and all of you guys so much. For those that are still following me, thanks for sticking with me!

Here's a mani I did back in January that's inspired by Craftynail. I finally got around to editing the video that goes with it so that's why I saved posting it until now. I used China Glaze Mingle with Kringle and stamped using MoYou London Pro 05 XL in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Night Flight and Konad Green. Hope you guys enjoy the tutorial. See you soon!

New Year's Eve 2014 with MoYou London Festive 05 XL

Happy (almost) New Year! Quick post because I'm going to Bass Lake this evening and I still have so much to do! At least I got my New Year's mani done though right? Lol. Here's China Glaze Liquid Leather stamped using MoYou London Festive 05 XL in Color Club Eternal Beauty, Color Club Miss Bliss, Color Club Over the Moon, Konad Sky Pearl, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac, and Sally Hansen Insta Dri Presto Pink. I really love how these turned out, but I wish the purple "New" was just a tad more opaque over black. On the bright side, I just got an email notification that I won Manicurator's China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Giveaway! Super happy because I liked them, but I didn't buy them and was hoping to win them in one of the giveaways going on. Lucky me! Hope everyone had a wonderful year and here's to the New Year--cheers!

Pink & Black Snowflakes with Bundle Monster BM-H02

Happy weekend! Today is the nail meet up for San Jose Nail Girls and I wanted to do something fun and bright, but still holiday themed. I decided to do a pink and black snowflake mani! I really like how this turned out. Here's OPI Pink Friday stamped using Bundle Monster BM-H02 in Konad Black and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pink. The glittery black polish is OPI Metallic 4 Life. After I took pics, I added a glitter in the center of the black snowflake and it really completes the look, but I didn't feel like taking pics again. Well, off to get dressed and ready for some serious nail polish shopping!

Green, Blue, & Pink Watermarble

Happy Friday ladies! OMG I spent 30+ hours in the past 4 days taking an online course and studying for my NCLEX. My brain is fried so here's another short post with a watermarble. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes: Green With Envy, Blue Me Away, and Coral Reef. The glitter on my accent is OPI Crown Me Already. I wore this for 2 full days and it really grew on me =]

Yellow, Orange, and Pink Watermarble

Hi ladies! Sorry for the boring title LOL. I have a quick post for you today because I'm doing my online Kaplan course this week and it's pretty much taking up all my time. I haven't water marbled in about 2 1/2 months so this one is not my best. No worries though, I tried again and have a better one coming up this week! For this water marble I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes: Mellow Yellow, Sun Kissed, and Coral Reef. How much do you all enjoy doing water marbling?

St. Paddy's Watermarble

Goodmorning readers! I just spend a long time trying to get my blogger page to look normal. I think there was an update and now everything looks out of whack! Did anyone else notice this happen to their blog as well? Oh well, I will try to figure it out later. Today I have a green and orange watermarble for St. Patrick's Day that is coming up in a few days. I used a base of China Glaze Def Defying and then marbled with China Glaze Def Defying, China Glaze Starboard, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green With Envy. I really like how these came out. When I have a successful watermarble, it makes me want to do another one right away!

China Glaze With Love & MASH 39

Happy Friday! I did 3 Valentine's Day themed manicures a couple weeks ago before school started--and I'm glad I did because otherwise I wouldn't have time to do any. Here's the first one. I used China Glaze With Love and stamped using MASH 39 in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep. For the glitter gradient I used Essie Set in Stones.

49ers Watermarble

Hey ladies! I was so busy with yesterday's festivities that I didn't get a chance to post my mani I wore for the Superbowl. I did a quick water marble using forty niner colors. I used China Glaze With Love, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Golden-I, and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. We didn't win, but I'm so proud we had a great season and made it to the Superbowl!

Candy on Candy

Happy Friday! I'm trying to get my Halloween manis in before the end of the month, so here's something sweet for you, candy! I stamped some candy over candy corn nails. For the candy corn base, I used Zoya Purity, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, and China Glaze Happy Go Lucky. Then I stamped over that using BM 306 in Konad Black. Too sweet or just sweet enough?

Pink to Purple Gradient Cupcake Nails

Good morning! Today I have an adorable cupcake mani to show you. I can't believe I waited awhile before using this image, it's so cute. I first did a base of China Glaze Something Sweet and then did a gradient using China Glaze Something Sweet, China Glaze Dance Baby, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac. Lastly, I stamped using BM 307 in Konad White. I just love how the stars and dots around the cupcake make it look so whimsical.

Purple, Silver, and Turquoise Double Lightning Bolt Nails

Happy Sunday! Short post today. I did this for a tape mani contest on Instagram. There are so many contests on there now that I only enter a few. I used China Glaze Grape Pop, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep, China Glaze Flyin' High and tape to make this double lightning bolt design. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 29: Inspired by the Supernatural

Good morning pretties! Today's theme is inspired by the supernatural. This challenge is one of my least favorites, both with the theme and how my mani turned out. Maybe I'm just being critical of myself, but it's my first time wearing gray polish ever and I'm not sure how I like it on me. I have stamps with haunted houses and stuff, but I didn't want it to turn into a Halloween mani so I didn't use much for this mani. I decided to stamp on top of a water marble so it wouldn't look plain either. I used a base of China Glaze Recycle and did a quick water marble using China Glaze Recycle and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out. I stamped using BM 223 in Konad White.

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 24: Inspired by a Book

Happy Sunday lacquerheads! Today's theme was such a tough one for me--inspired by a book. I RARELY read. I was so close to doing children's books like so many who have done the challenge before me or even copping out by painting my nails different shades of gray (for the book Fifty Shades of Gray). After surfing the web and going through my plates for some inspiration, I finally landed on Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll. Here's what I used:
  • Index: Zoya Purity stamped using BM 311 in Konad Red, then stamped using BM 302 in MASH Black
  • Middle: China Glaze Starboard stamped using MASH 32 in China Glaze Passion
  • Ring: China Glaze Happy Go Lucky stamped using Konad M65 in Konad White, then stamped using BM 302 in Konad Red and Konad Green
  • Pinky: China Glaze Dance Baby stamped using MASH 46 in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac.

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 21: Inspired by a Color

Hey loves. Today's theme is inspired by a color. I ran into the same problem as a lot of other bloggers who have already done the challenge--lack of inspiration! The theme is left to interpretation and I really am a black and white kinda gal. I decided to use the name of a nail polish color as my inspiration. I went with China Glaze Pink Voltage and did some double lightning bolts using the tutorial here from Jane at Nailside. Get it, pink voltage? Lol. The colors I used are China Glaze Pink Voltage, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep, and OPI Black Onyx. I did have an issue doing this mani. Pink voltage is a neon and dried matte. I must have not used topcoat all the way to the sides and when I removed the tape, polish started coming off on the sides =[ Anyways, lesson learned: don't use a matte polish for this tutorial.

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 19: Galaxies

Happy Tuesday! Today's theme is galaxies and I was kind of dreading it because I wasn't sure how mine would turn out. I think they turned out pretty well for my first time. I used a bunch of stuff so I'm just going to list them: OPI Black Onyx, China Glaze Champagne Bubbles, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze Riveting, OPI Dim Sum Plum, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Night Flight, China Glaze Man Hunt, Pure Ice Vinyl Remix Platinum Magic Base Coat, and China Glaze Fairy Dust. I also used some white acrylic paint. I finally got some acrylic paints yesterday, so I will start playing with them soon! Not sure how that will turn out, but hopefully I can do some new kinds of nail art with that. What do you ladies think, are these out of this world?

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 10: Gradient

Hi loves! I'm attempting to post this from my phone so let's hope this works. I have to go a few more days without internet =[ So today's theme is gradient so I used a base of China Glaze Lemon Fizz and then used China Glaze Lemon Fizz, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow, and Sally Hansen Sun Kissed to do the gradient. I used a tutorial from Pinterest where you wet a makeup sponge a little bit and then paint all the colors on the sponge at one time. I love how easy it was to do this! I stamped using Konad M82 in Konad Red. I'm definitely going to have to try this method again!

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 9: Rainbow

Happy Friday! So yesterday was moving day and I only had one casualty, but thankfully it's not any of my money makers lol. I took tons of biotin and made sure my nails were painted before moving to prepare for the trauma. I won't have internet until next week so until then I'm gonna bring my laptop with me everywhere and mooch off of family for now haha. For rainbow nails I decided to do a watermarble because it would be easier to incorporate several colors. I used a base if Zoya Purity and marbled with China Glaze Grape Pop and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Cherry Red, Sun Kissed, Mellow Yellow, Green with Envy, and Blue Me Away.

Colors of the Wind Inspired

Goodmorning! Today I have a Pocahontas/Colors of the Wind inspired mani. I'm thinking of maybe entering this one or my Metallic Multicolor Stamping mani for Bundle Monsters contest, but I'm having trouble deciding.  For this I used a base of China Glaze White Out and then sponged on China Glaze: Electric Beat, Dance Baby, Sunshine Pop, Kinetic Candy, Gothic Lolita and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac and Snappy Sorbet. I stamped using BM 214 in Konad White. I thought this turned out pretty good based on what I had in my head lol. Can you ladies please help me pick which one to enter? (A or B in the last photo)

(Here's what my base looked like before stamping)

Help me choose which one I should enter into Bundle Monster's contest, A or B?
