China Glaze Dance Baby and Konad M88

Hi readers! Today I have some stamped zebra print tips! Honestly I usually avoid using tip designs because I always have a difficult time centering the image perfectly. I doubt I'm the only one in that boat, but I did my best! Here I used China Glaze's Dance Baby, painted my tips with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On, and then stamped using Konad M88 in Konad Black. I added some L.A. Colors Art Deco Silver Glitter.

Just like all other Konad plates I have used, the images from Konad M88 came out crisp and picked up easily. The only difficulty I ran into was stamping the images crooked. The image is very curved for a tip design, but I found an easier way to stamp straight. To avoid stamping crooked, I didn't pain the every ends of the image and painted straight across bottom of the U-shape. This way when I picked up the image, it was not so curved and it was easier to center the image on my nails. This image plate is available at Nail Polish Canada along with tons of other Konad stamping products.

China Glaze Stone Cold and Red Angel 121

Hi lovelies! As of today I'm officially on Spring Break. Yay, I get to play with nail polish all week! Lol. Anyways, here's the first polish used from the Hunger Games Collection. I bought the whole collection so it was hard for me to decide which one to use first. I used China Glaze Stone Cold as a base and stamped using Red Angel 121 in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep. I added some dots using Silver Sweep.

Effie Trinket Inspired Nails

Happy Hunger Games! So I'm sure tons of people have read the book and/or watched the Hunger Games this weekend. Honestly, I hate reading, but after hearing about the China Glaze Capitol Colours Collection and all the bloggers talking about how excited they were, I decided to read the book. I'm so happy I did because I loved it! I also watched the movie this weekend and I really enjoyed it. Anyways, with all the Hunger Games in the air, I decided to do my nails inspired by the mani Effie Trinket wore during The Reaping. I used China Glaze Traffic Jam as my base and then sponged on O.P.I. Bling Dynasty and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Golden-I.

St. Patrick's Day Mani #2

Happy St. Paddy's Day--and happy 90th birthday to my grandma!  Today I have a pretty cool mani that is inspired by the famous Robin Moses! She is so inspirational and talented! This is my first time drag marbling and I think it came out pretty cool. I used a base of L.A. Girl French Manicure Creme Brulee and then drag marbled using NYX Girls Luscious Green, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, and L.A. Girl Disco Brites Can U Dig It. I added some gold glitter using L.A. Colors Art Deco Gold Glitter. Then I stamped using BM03 in Konad Apple Green. The transfer of my stamp sucked as do most of my images from the first set of Bundle Monster plates that I own. I thought it ruined my mani, but it would've been a pain to take it off so I left it there.

Red, Silver, and Black Clouds

Hi loves! Sorry haven't posted in awhile. I will be busy for the next couple weeks, but after that I will post more often again. I finally decided to try the popular "cloud" design from Jane at Nailside! She actually did this mani here and I loved it so much I decided to that for my first time I would use the same colors since I knew they look nice together. I used O.P.I. Red Lights Ahead...Where?, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out. I LOVE how this turned out and it was so easy! I will definitely be trying this out again.

Pink, Purple, and Blue Gradient and Konad M65

Hi everyone! March is here and I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of green manicures soon, so here is a non green manicure to start the month lol. I did a gradient using OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lively Lilac, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away. I stamped using Konad M65 in Konad Black. I actually messed up my ring finger and I was in a rush to finish my nails before my husband came home, so I just added Essie Luxeffects in A Cut Above.

Mardi Gras Themed Water Marble

Hi lovelies! I know Mardi Gras was last week, but with school I didn't have time to do my nails until this weekend. I decided to do a water marble since I haven't done one in awhile. It's not that I haven't tried, I think the times I tried it was way too cold and my polish was drying fast or something. Here I used a base color of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Golden-I and marbled using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Golden-I, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Deep Purple, and China Glaze Holly Day.

Valentine's Conversation Hearts

Hi everyone! I did these a a few weeks back because I knew when school came around I wouldn't have time to do that many different manis for Valentine's Day. I got this idea from Leslie at Polish Art Addiction. I'm pretty sure everyone has eaten this candy at least once for Valentine's Day. I can't remember what I used as a base color (oops!), but I stamped using Nail Art Diva plate From the Heart 1 in China Glaze Lemon Fizz, China Glaze Re-fresh Mint, China Glaze Something Sweet, China Glaze Peachy Keen, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lively Lilac. I did use a dotting tool to go over the colors and make them more opaque. The red wording is stamped with the same plate using Nail Art Diva polish in Heartfelt Red. I got the Nail Art Diva plate and polish from Rebecca's 600 follower giveaway last year, but waited until the right occasion to use it =] I mattified them after with Essie Matte About You because the candies are actually matte and chalk like.

Nicki Minaj Inspired Nails #3

Hi everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. Today's mani may look familiar to you. It's because I got this idea from Rebecca Likes Nails. She did this last year and of course while I was doing Nicki Minaj outfit inspired nails I couldn't stop thinking about doing the one she did because it is so awesome. I used China Glaze White Out for the base and stamped using BM 215 with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Presto Pink. For my ring finger I used China Glaze Sunshine Pop. The outfit that inspired this is one that Nicki wore in her "Super Bass" music video.

Nicki Minaj Inspired Nails #2

Hi my lovelies! Like I mentioned in my last post, I did a few Nicki Minaj outfit inspired manis for this little contest on Instagram. Here's the second one I did. First I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black Out. Then with the binder hole reinforcements applied, I did 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On. Lastly I stamped using BM 21 in Konad Black. I've always wanted to use this stamp and I've always seen it just stamped over yellow, so I'm glad my first time using it I was able to be creative! I don't know if anyone can tell, but O.P.I. Fly stained the crap out of my nails!! Has anyone else had the same problem?

Red and Gold 49ers Nails!

Hi everyone! Today I have a manicure for my favorite football team, the S.F. Forty Niners! They're playing tomorrow and I thought these would be very fitting for the occasion =] I used a base of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red. Then I used some scotch tape to make a V shape and used OPI Gold Shatter for the tip design. Then I used some gold hex glitter. I stamped using Konad M42, M17, and M18 in Konad White. I love how these turned out! Go Niners!

Here they are with no stamp for those of you who don't care for football or who have a different team preference. These can double as Chinese New Years nails! Chuc mung nam moi!

OPI Mod About You and RA 119

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! I did these nails today and honestly, so many things went wrong! I'm not very superstitious, but I kinda feel like it was bad luck =[ I smudged my nails countless times and I totally spilled a bottle of polish all over the floor--first time that's ever happened! I almost gave up on these, but decided to power through it and finish. I used O.P.I. Mod About You for the base color. I stamped using RA 119 in Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pink and Konad Princess Apple Green. I added some yellow to the flowers with China Glaze Lemon Fizz. Lastly, I added orange dots using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Sun Kissed. Hope it turned out okay despite the mishaps!

Christmas Water Marble

I wanted to do two Christmas water marble manis, but I only had time for this one. It didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to. I think the gold I used kind of mixed with the other colors a bit, but I still think it looks pretty decent. Does anyone have any suggestions of a gold polish that works well with water marbling? My favorite nail is my index finger, I wish all of my nails turned out that way. I used a base color of China Glaze Passion and to marble I used China Glaze Passion, Sally Hansen  Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red, and Zoya Holly. Anyways, short post today, my nails are drying as I do this post. I have two more really festive Christmas nails to show in the next couple days!

Halloween Mani #3 Water Marble with Spiders

Happy Halloween everyone!! Here's my last Halloween mani. I had so many other ideas, but unfortunately just didn't have enough time to do them. I guess I'll have to wait until next year for those. Anyways, I wanted to do a marble with black in it, but I decided not to because I wanted to stamp over it. I first used a base coat of Wet n Wild French White Creme and then marbled using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, and China Glaze Life Preserver. I stamped using BM 13 in Konad Black. I tried using the spider image from the same plate and it wouldn't pick up for the life of me! So here you go, you can all laugh at my freehand spiders =P

Halloween Mani #2 Candy Corn Water Marble

Okay so I saw a few candy corn manis this month and thought they were really cute so I wanted to give them a try for myself. First, I tried doing a water marble with just the color scheme, but wasn't loving it very much, so I just decided to just do a water marble of it without the actual marbling. I used a base coat of Wet n Wild French White Creme and then marbled using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, and Color Club Almost Famous. I topped it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Snappy Sorbet and Konad M82

I've seen this image used layered before and I just LOVED how it looked. I can't remember where I saw it though so sorry I can't give credit to whoever it was =\ The one I saw had a hot pink base and then a black stamp layered over a white stamp. I kind of liked that one better, but I also wanted to use different colors to not be completely mindless so here's mine! I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Snappy Sorbet for a base. I bought this polish as a stamping polish, but wanted to give it a try on its own. I used Konad M82 in Konad White first and then M82 in Konad Red. I love the layered stamp look, but I think the color combo was just a bit too subtle for me.

Vintage Water Marble

I didn't really know what to call this post, but the colors remind me of the 70's! I actually did this water marbling the other day just to practice so I only did it on one hand. Wasn't very crazy about my color choice, but I didn't want to use too many colors because last time I did that it looked super psychedelic and I hated it lol. I started off with a white base and then marbled using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow, Sun Kissed, and Green With Envy. I LOVE these polishes to marble with because their formula is so watery and the polish drips very easily. I got mine at Target for like $2.04/each. My middle finger looks all messed up because I started to make my bullseye and realized I forgot to tape my finger, so I grabbed my lip balm and put it around my nail instead of tape (I heard some people use it instead of tape). I think I must have marbled on top of a glob of lip balm because when I put my topcoat part of my marble came right off =[ I will be sticking to tape from now on!

Pirate Mani 5

The other day I said I wanted to do a mani resembling a mermaid's tail, so here it is! I used OPI Mermaid's Tears again because it's such a perfect color for the mermaid theme and also because I only wore it for one day and that wasn't long enough for me! I stamped using Bundle Monster BM 215 with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Silver Sweep. I think this idea was executed perfectly! I have one more pirate mani tomorrow and then I'm all pirated out =P

YAY! 50 followers!

Wow I reached 50 followers! Whooo hoo I'm so excited! Thanks followers =] I have something special for you guys today, water marbling! I've done this a few times, some have came out better than others, but i'm pretty happy with how these came out. I know I've got some improving to do, but hope you all enjoy this mani!

I started off by painting all my nails white with Wet n Wild French White Creme. If you use a lighter base color, the colors you use to marble will really pop and look bright. If you use a darker base, the colors won't look as bright and will have a more subtle look.

Left to right: Sally Hansen XW in White On, SHXW in Fuchsia Power, SHXW in Deep Purple, and L.A. Colors Color Craze in Live. Marbling does use up a lot of polish, so I bought the Sally Hansen polishes purposely for marbling because I don't mind using them up.

My left pinky didn't come out great, but it was the first nail I dipped and as those of you who have tried marbling, you kinda have to get a rhythm going so I didn't expect that one to be great (and I was too lazy to re-do it).

Introducing.. my right hand! Hahaha I've been hiding my right hand because pointer nail just keeps breaking and I'm having a difficult time growing it back =[ waa waa. Also, my pointer nail is a good (bad) example of what happens when water is left on your nail after you dunk it. The polish kind of bleeds and you don't want that.

Leopard Lace Nails

I've been using stamping nail designs for awhile, and there were a couple designs I hadn't used up until recently because I didn't know what to do with them. This skinny leopard lace band was one of them. I really like how this mani turned out, except my nails don't look as nice as in my previous posts because I just broke a nail yesterday. I'm debating whether to chop them all down or not. Waa waa ='[ The pink base color is Sally Hansen XW in Fuchsia Power and the turquoise base color is Sally Hansen XW in Blue Me Away. I did the white stripe freehand using Wet n Wild in French White Creme. I stamped using Konad M57 in Konad black.
