Celestial Cosmetics Seven Kingdoms Swatches

Calling all Game of Thrones fans! Today I have swatches of some polishes from Celestial Cosmetics Seven Kingdoms collection. Celestial Cosmetics, an indie polish brand from Australia, did a collaboration with Color4Nails and created 9 polishes for this collection. I have 5 of them to show you. The collection consists of duochrome, thermal, and holographic polishes. All photos are shown with topcoat.

King Slayer--2 coats. Navy to purple duochrome. Super hard to capture the color shift so I had to use my phone and try a million different lighting settings!

Sapphires of Tarth--3 coats. Another lovely duochrome that was super hard to capture. Teal to purple duochrome.

High Garden--3 coats. Thermal polish. Here it is cool.

High Garden--warm.

High Garden in transition.

House Arryn--3 coats over a white base. Thermal polish. Here it is warm. It's very sheer and white undies are a must on this one.

House Arryn--cool.

House Arryn--in transition.

Arya Stark--3 coats. Thermal/holo polish. Here it is warm.

These polishes should be available any day now from Color4Nails on their website here. For more info on purchasing and availability check out their FB page here

Polished by KPT Life in Pink Swatch

Happy Humpday! Today I have a swatch of a limited edition thermal polish from Polished by KPT. This one is called Life in Pink and it's inspired by October birthstones Opal and Tourmaline. I think she captured the beauty of both gemstones perfectly in this polish. Here it is at 3 coats with topcoat.

Here's what it looks like when warm..

...and here it is cold.

If you're in the UK you can purchase this polish here and if you're anywhere else check out Polished by KPT's page here

Polished by KPT Siren's Song & Bittersweet Swatches

Hey lacqueristas! Today I have my very first Polished by KPT polishes to show you. Katherine is a Bay Area indie polish maker and is very well known for her thermal polishes. I had the pleasure of meeting Katherine at her Eyes On Indie Nail Party a few weeks ago and she even gave me a couple polishes to try. I have 2 of her thermal polishes to show you today--Siren's Song and Bittersweet.

Siren's Song (cool)

Siren's Song (warm)

Bittersweet (cool)

Bittersweet (in transition)

Bittersweet (warm)

Both of these polishes are beautiful, but my fave is definitely Siren's Song. It was quite helpful to have long nails as the transition shows up nicely. I would imagine the transition effect would be a bit harder to achieve with short nails without running your hands in cool/warm water. You can purchase both of these limited edition polishes here and they are currently on sale for $12.50 each.

Here's a pic of Katherine and I at the Eyes On Indie Party last month.

Nail Polish Couture Jaaziah

Hey ladies! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I did a blog makeover today. It took me awhile because I know very little about how to do a blog layout and use social media buttons, but I'm finally done and I really like how it looks. I'll probably play around with it a bit more when I figure out what the heck I'm doing. Today I have a thermal polish to show you. Thermal polish is becoming pretty popular with indie polish makers right now. They change colors when exposed to heat or cold. The one I have today is from Nail Polish Couture and it's called Jaaziah. It turns blue when exposed to cold and green when exposed to heat. I used 4 coats here and I used topcoat--yes, the thermal effect works with topcoat! You can purchase this from Nail Polish Central.
