Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamped Gradient

Aloha beauties! Today I have my first super summery design of the summer. I'm bummed summer is almost over and I'm just getting around to it, but better late than never! I just ordered a bunch of MoYou London Tropical plates from their new collection and I'll probably have to wait until next summer to really get a lot of use out of them. At least I know I will definitely have time next summer because I'm graduating in May 2015--yay! I'll be filling out my papers for graduation this weekend and it's pretty exciting to know I'll be done soon with my seemingly endless time in school. Speaking of school, I know a lot of you guys probably started school again this week just like me so I hope you all had a great first week back! Enough school talk, now nail talk. Here's OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian stamped using MoYou London Pro 13 XL in Mundo de Unas 4, 11, and 39. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. This totally made me wish I was in Hawaii to flaunt these!

Yellow, Black, & White Tribal Nail Art

Happy Sunday friends! This is the 3rd week in a row that I've been able to post so I'm super excited about that. I know it doesn't sound like much, but after being gone for such a long time, I was beginning to worry about never getting around to it. I start school again tomorrow, but I hope now I've adjusted to working and going to school at the same time so I'm optimistic about being able to post (somewhat) regularly.

Today I'm sharing a simple mani I wore a couple weeks ago. Here's OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls stamped using MoYou London Artist 11 in Mundo de Unas 2. The yellow is OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana. I have to say, I'm super impressed with Mundo de Unas stamping polish and I'm kind of kicking myself for not buying some sooner. It's very opaque and doesn't smear when you topcoat it. Also if I make a mistake, I can just pull it off my nail with regular tape. The only weird thing I noticed is that it adheres well to my topcoat (Seche Vite Quick Dry Topcoat) and not as much as my base color and it peels off after a couple days and my base color gets left behind. Has anyone else had that happen to them? I'm not worried about it though, the pros definitely outweigh that one con!

Disney's The Princess & the Frog Inspired Nail Art

Hello again my darlings! As I mentioned in my last post, I went to Disneyland about 2 weeks ago. I of course couldn't go to Disneyland without some Disney themed nails. I went through my plates and came up with something inspired by Disney's The Princess and the Frog movie. I used Essie Play Date and Bettina Pink Bikini for the base and stamped using MoYou London Explorer 13 (Mardi Gras mask), MoYou London Princess 07 (frog prince), Rica GLAM-01 (lips), and Bunny Nails HD-C (voodoo doll) in Mundo de Unas 21, 29, and 38. I really loved how these turned out, but even more--I loved Disneyland!!  It was probably my fifth time going, but it was my 2nd time going with my husband and it was a blast. We've already started planning another Disneyland & California Adventure trip soon.

Here's a couple of pictures of us at Disneyland

Polynesian Tribal Tattoo Nail Art

Hi summer friends! Sorry it's been another month since I've last posted. I really wanted to do a lot of summer themed nail art since I'm out of school for now, but work has still kept me really busy. Since I last posted I went to Island Reggae Festival, celebrated my 3 year wedding anniversary, and went to Disneyland and California Adventure parks. Today I'll be sharing the mani I wore to Island Reggae Festival. It's an annual all day event that has Polynesian music artists performing at Great America and there's vendors, food, and best of all beer!

I first did a white base for the gradient with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. For the gradient I used OPI Red Hot Rio, OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana, and Essie Mojito Madness and then stamped using MoYou London Explorer 15 XL and MoYou London Explorer 19 in Konad Black.
