OPI Gouda Gouda Two Shoes & MoYou London Holy Shapes 01

Hi guys. The move went smoothly and there were no casualties transferring all of my nail polish babies--yay! I didn't get around to using the 2015 Pantone color Marsala earlier in the year, so I decided to at least say goodbye to 2015 with it. Here's OPI Gouda Gouda Two Shoes stamped using MoYou London Holy Shapes 01 in Mundo de Unas Gold. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. I tried to match the stamped image to the pattern on the studs and I think I came pretty close. Go me!

Madam Glam Not Your Usual White--Swatch & Review

Hello my polished pretties! Today I have a new gel polish shade from Madam Glam to share with you called Not Your Usual White. It's a beautiful iridescent white with a purple shimmer. I wasn't able to photograph the purple shimmer very well, but the effect is much more noticeable in person. I stamped it with MoYou London Tropical 19 in Mundo de Unas Purple and added some hex glitter from Born Pretty Store. You can purchase this polish here for $19.95.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-06 Review

Happy August! Sorry I wasn't able to post last weekend. July was pretty hectic for me. My car was hit on 4th of July while it was parked and it ended up being totaled. I spent a lot of time looking online and spent a couple of weekends going to car dealerships to look at cars. I finally got a car this week and I'm on cloud nine! The color is Tuxedo Black Metallic and it looks super glittery in the sun--it totally suits me and I love it. Now that I have that situation under control, I can hopefully get back to my neglected nails =[

Today I have a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store to share with you. It's a Sailor Moon themed plate with 10 different images.

I used Glam Polish Bohemian Rhapsody and stamped using Born Pretty Store plate BP-06 in Mundo de Unas White. I was pleasantly surprised that all of the intricate lines transferred without any issues and I was able to scrape over the larger designs without creating any bald spots. I honestly loved having Sailor Moon on my nails as it brought back so many memories of being obsessed watching it growing up. You can purchase this plate here for $2.99. Use coupon code NV7X31 for 10% off your order.

Born Pretty Store Black Iridescent Rhinestones--Review

Hi again! 2 posts in 1 day is so unlike me, but I've been a bad blogger and haven't been keeping up with posting as regularly on my blog as I have been on my IG. Don't worry, you're still seeing everything, just not as quickly. I'll try to do better!

Today I have some black iridescent rhinestones from Born Pretty Store to review. They come in a nail wheel like most other studs and come in a variety of different sizes.

These studs are really beautiful and are a nice change from the typical clear rhinestones. A lot of studs come in the nail wheel so you can get a lot of use out it. You can purchase these studs here for $3.41.

Glam Polish Escape Artist & MoYou London Sailor 05

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful warm weather if it's warm where you are. I'm currently selling stuff at a garage sale so I'll make this post a quick one. Here's Glam Polish Escape Artist stamped using MoYou London Sailor 05 in Mundo de Unas Neon Blue. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. I'll be graduating soon with my bachelors in nursing and also moving in just over a month so I'll be quite busy over the next month and a half or so. No worries though, I'll still be posting weekly!

I used Glam Polish Sorcerer's Apprentice and stamped using MoYou London Kaleidoscope 10 in Mundo de Unas Black. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. Rachel from Glam Polish actually asked me to swatch the last 4 polishes from the Master's of Illusion Collection so be on the lookout for those swatches next week!

OPI Aloha From OPI & Born Pretty Store Water Decals

Happy Saturday! I promised to post this weekend since last weekend kind of slipped away from me. Today I have one of my favorite colors from the OPI Hawaii collection. Here's OPI Aloha From OPI with Born Pretty Store water decals. I loooove this decal design. It's great for if you're on a time crunch for nail art or want a cute pedi, but don't want to do a lot of work. I actually wore this mani as a Gelibility mani a couple weeks ago, but I hated my pics so I did it again and left it as regular polish. I also spent over $200 on gel polish last weekend. I am becoming such a gel polish lover. What is happening to me?!

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-02--Review

Good morning stampaholics! Today I have one of Born Pretty Store's new stamping plates to review. The one I chose to review is BP-02.

I used Color Club You're So Vain and stamped using Born Pretty Store BP-02 in Mundo de Unas 17. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised with how this turned out. The fine lines transferred effortlessly. I also like that the full designs allow you to select different parts of each image so that each nail can be identical or unique from each other. You can purchase this plate here for $2.99 and use code NV7X31 for 10% off your purchase.

Here's Color Club Dirty Money stamped using MoYou London Kaleidoscope 03 in Mundo de Unas Black. The black studs are from Born Pretty Store. I gotta say I like these Color Club polishes a lot more with some stamping and topcoat!

Gelish Berry Merry Holidays & MoYou London Festive 03

Good morning beauties! I have my first holiday mani of the season to share with you today. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I really was impressed with the wear of gel polish and that I was going to take a few steps towards the land of gel polish. Well I decided to jump into it and I bought a Gelish kit on Amazon. Good thing I bought it last month when it was only $93 because now it's $140. I'm loving it so far. I've used it twice and I'm so happy with how well it wears. There's definitely a learning curve for application compared to regular nail polish, but I know practice will make perfect.

For this holiday mani I used Gelish Berry Merry Holidays and stamped using MoYou London Festive 03 in Mundo de Unas 17. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. My co-worker who is really into gel polish gifted Berry Merry Holidays to me. Yay for more gel polish for my baby gel polish collection! My collection might stay a baby though as I'm now trying out Gelibility--a product that lets you turn any nail polish into gel polish. I'll share that with you guys another day, but I'll just say it's kind of amazing!

OPI Get Cherried Away & MoYou London Explorer 05

Happy Friday and hello 3-day weekend! This week felt long and was really stressful so thankfully I was able to leave work a few hours early for a mental health half day. I just had a lovely nap and I'm feeling better already. Too bad I'm currently wearing gel polish for review otherwise I would be doing my nails. I can't complain though, my nails still look as fresh as they did the day I painted them.

Today I have a mani I wore a few weeks back. I had 1 hour to do them before going out with some friends so I did something super simple and just stamped accents on my ring fingers and thumbs. Here's OPI Get Cherried Away stamped using MoYou London Explorer 05 in Mundo de Unas 17. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. 1 hour probably seems like plenty of time for you gals to do your nails, but I typically like to allot myself 2 hours for painting them, adding nail art (usually stamping), cleaning up, and taking pictures. How long do you gals usually spend doing your nails?

Isn't this color divine?! <3

OPI Can't Afjord Not To & MoYou London Pro 02 XL

Hi friends! Sorry for not posting last week! I was so proud of myself for posting weekly for the past month and a half, but school started again recently and it's been harder to make time for my nails again. Today I have my first "official" fall manicure as I'm using one of my new polishes from the OPI Nordic Collection for this fall 2014. Here's OPI Can't Afjord Not To stamped using MoYou London Pro 02 XL in Mundo de Unas stamping polish #17. The gold glitter is OPI All Sparkly and Gold--one of my favorite gold glitter polishes ever! The gold studs are from Born Pretty Store. I look forward to using the rest of my OPI Nordic Collection. So far I've used this orange for 2 manis and a pedi. I think that's a record for me for most use out of a polish in a 2 week time span. Well hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Until next week!

Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamped Gradient

Aloha beauties! Today I have my first super summery design of the summer. I'm bummed summer is almost over and I'm just getting around to it, but better late than never! I just ordered a bunch of MoYou London Tropical plates from their new collection and I'll probably have to wait until next summer to really get a lot of use out of them. At least I know I will definitely have time next summer because I'm graduating in May 2015--yay! I'll be filling out my papers for graduation this weekend and it's pretty exciting to know I'll be done soon with my seemingly endless time in school. Speaking of school, I know a lot of you guys probably started school again this week just like me so I hope you all had a great first week back! Enough school talk, now nail talk. Here's OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian stamped using MoYou London Pro 13 XL in Mundo de Unas 4, 11, and 39. The studs are from Born Pretty Store. This totally made me wish I was in Hawaii to flaunt these!

Born Pretty Store--Gold Arabesque Pattern Water Decals Review

Hey polished pretties! Today I have some Arabesque Pattern water decals from Born Pretty Store to review. They're shiny gold and come on a fairly large sheet. I've used water decals before, and the sheet was probably about half of this size so that was a pleasant surprise.

To get an idea of how many decals are on here, for 4 nails I used the 2 upper corner designs and had some extra decal leftover. This sheet would last at least a few manicures or to get even more use, pedicures! I don't know about you guys, but I always have designs at least on my big toes so these would be great to jazz up a plain pedicure.

The base color is Morgan Taylor Candy Coated Coral.

I really love how beautiful and elegant this manicure turned out with minimal effort. The only thing I had some issue with is that the plastic decal material doesn't melt when you clean up with acetone. To avoid this issue, be careful sizing and cutting the decal before placing it on your nail and make sure it doesn't extend onto your cuticle area. You can purchase these decals here for $4.99. Use my code NV7X31 for 10% off your entire purchase.

Born Pretty Store--Patterned Round & Square Nail Stud Wheel Review

Hey my polished pretties! I have some really cool nail studs to show you from Born Pretty Store. I'm not sure if you guys can tell, but I really like using nail studs. When I first saw these, I knew I really wanted to try them out because they're not your typical studs--they're patterned! The nail wheel comes with both square and round studs and each shape comes in both silver and gold. Then website lists the size as 2-3mm. I didn't measure them, but I think they're all 3mm which is a perfect size to use one or a few on each nail. I made 2 manis with the studs and I ended up loving both looks.

Here I used the gold square studs over OPI Hey Baby. When they're all lined up, it almost looks like it's one long stud which I think looks really cool. The wheel also contains these square studs in silver.

Here I used the round silver studs over OPI 4 in the Morning. It's a matte satin polish, but here it's shown with topcoat. The wheel also contains these round studs in gold.

You really can't go wrong with these studs. They give edge to a plain manicure, but the pattern makes them look classy as well. They're big enough to use one on each nail or small enough to use several. The best part is that the wheel has a bunch of studs in it so you could get a ton of use out of it. You can purchase the stud wheel here for $3.23. Use my code NV7X31 for 10% off your entire order.

Born Pretty Store--2mm Round Black Studs Review

Good morning friends! Happy New Year! I know I'm a few days late, but it's my first post of the new year so it counts. Today I have 2mm round black studs from Born Pretty Store to show you. I've been dying to get some black studs so I was really excited to try them. I really enjoy using small nail studs as a way to create accent nails and the change from the typical silver and gold studs to black really gives an edgy look. I decided to pair the studs with stamping.

Here's  I Love Nail Polish (ILNP) PT78 stamped using MoYou London Back to the 80's 04 XL in Konad Yellow.

Here's the little zip lock bag the studs come in.

A lot of the studs were stuck together. It was a bit annoying at first because I didn't realize it until I was applying them, but just be sure to unstick them before application so whatever you use as glue doesn't dry up.

You can see that quite a bit of the studs in the bag are stuck together.

Aside from the studs sticking together in the bag, I really loved these. The size is perfect to arrange them in little clusters or use them alone on the nail. The change from the usual silver and gold studs was really nice too. I'll be using these a lot this year! You can purchase these studs here for $4.67 and use my code NV7X31 for 10% off your entire purchase.

Born Pretty Store--Silicone Nail Stamp Printing Template Review

Hey polish addicts! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Today I have a different type of stamping tool from Born Pretty Store to review. It's a round silicone template with images imprinted on it. You put polish over your desired image, gently roll the excess on paper, and then stamp it onto your nail. This was my first time using this method of nail stamping.

Here's what the template looks like.

Here you can see the size of the image. 1.0 cm. This is tiny!

Here's a larger image and it's still only 1.2 cm long.

I tried out 4 images from the template. The images transferred okay, but there is still excess polish that transferred along with it. When I wiped the excess on a piece of paper, I did it until no more excess wiped off. In order to get any more polish off, I would've had to use an orange stick which is very impractical because the polish would probably dry in the process. The images are way toO small, excess polish gets transferred, and storage would also be impractical as the whole piece is about 1.1 cm thick. I'm going to stick to stamping plates for crisp image transfers, larger image sizes, and practical size for storage. You can purchase this item here for $1.99. Get 10% off your purchase with code "NV7X31."
