Essie Sugar Daddy & Konad M19 French Mani

Hey beauties! Today I have my first successful French mani! I don't know how many times I've tried to use Konad M19 with the French tips, but I have failed every single time. I tried something different this time around. I used binder hole reinforcements and then stamped and it worked like a charm! I used Essie Sugar Daddy and stamped using Konad M19 in Konad White. I like how clean and simple these look!

Also, from now on I'll be using new watermarks on my photos (feedback is welcome). Unfortunately one of the photos I used to review a product for Born Pretty Store had my watermark blurred out and used on their site. I have contacted them and my photo has been removed, but stealing photos is no longer limited to young kids on Instagram and I have to be much more careful from now on.

Peppermint Candy French Tips

Merry Xmas Eve everyone! Short post today because I have 3 family parties to go to today. For this mani I used Zoya Purity and stamped using Red Angel RA 110 in Konad Red. Hope everyone has a lovely day with their family and friends!

31 Day Nail Challenge--Day 15: Delicate Print

Happy Friday! Today is delicate print nails which is something I rarely do, but I saw a mani here from Radi-D awhile back and I thought it was so beautiful that I decided to recreate it for today's challenge. I used O.P.I. Don't Touch My Tutu, added french tips using striping tape and O.P.I. Black Onyx, and stamped using Konad M57 in Konad Black. It's weird seeing something so delicate on my nails since I'm used to wearing bright colors and bold stamping patterns, but I would definitely do something like this again for a special occasion!

China Glaze Dance Baby and Konad M88

Hi readers! Today I have some stamped zebra print tips! Honestly I usually avoid using tip designs because I always have a difficult time centering the image perfectly. I doubt I'm the only one in that boat, but I did my best! Here I used China Glaze's Dance Baby, painted my tips with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On, and then stamped using Konad M88 in Konad Black. I added some L.A. Colors Art Deco Silver Glitter.

Just like all other Konad plates I have used, the images from Konad M88 came out crisp and picked up easily. The only difficulty I ran into was stamping the images crooked. The image is very curved for a tip design, but I found an easier way to stamp straight. To avoid stamping crooked, I didn't pain the every ends of the image and painted straight across bottom of the U-shape. This way when I picked up the image, it was not so curved and it was easier to center the image on my nails. This image plate is available at Nail Polish Canada along with tons of other Konad stamping products.

St. Patrick's Day Mani #2

Happy St. Paddy's Day--and happy 90th birthday to my grandma!  Today I have a pretty cool mani that is inspired by the famous Robin Moses! She is so inspirational and talented! This is my first time drag marbling and I think it came out pretty cool. I used a base of L.A. Girl French Manicure Creme Brulee and then drag marbled using NYX Girls Luscious Green, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, and L.A. Girl Disco Brites Can U Dig It. I added some gold glitter using L.A. Colors Art Deco Gold Glitter. Then I stamped using BM03 in Konad Apple Green. The transfer of my stamp sucked as do most of my images from the first set of Bundle Monster plates that I own. I thought it ruined my mani, but it would've been a pain to take it off so I left it there.

China Glaze Happy Go Lucky and Konad M50

The weekend is FINALLY here! This was one of the most difficult weeks of school I can remember. I can't wait to do my nails today! Lol. Anyways, here is a mani I did 2 weeks ago for my mother in law. She picked what she wanted me to use. It's a simple design, but she loved them so that's all that matters! I used China Glaze Happy Go Lucky for the base and stamped using Konad M50 in Konad Sky Pearl. And that blue background is the bottom of one of my beloved Konad demo plates <3

Red and Gold 49ers Nails!

Hi everyone! Today I have a manicure for my favorite football team, the S.F. Forty Niners! They're playing tomorrow and I thought these would be very fitting for the occasion =] I used a base of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red. Then I used some scotch tape to make a V shape and used OPI Gold Shatter for the tip design. Then I used some gold hex glitter. I stamped using Konad M42, M17, and M18 in Konad White. I love how these turned out! Go Niners!

Here they are with no stamp for those of you who don't care for football or who have a different team preference. These can double as Chinese New Years nails! Chuc mung nam moi!

Zoya Shay and Konad M77

Hi everyone! I have something rare today--me wearing a nude! I have been pretty against wearing nudes because I love how bright colors look on nails, but at the hospital I had clinicals at last semester, I was actually allowed to wear nude polish so I purchased this one. I actually am starting to like how it looks, I think I just needed to break out of my comfort zone =] Here's Zoya Shay stamped with Konad M77 in Konad Black. Looks classy, eh?

China Glaze Blue Year's Eve and Konad M59

Today I have a winter snowflake mani to show you. I've seen a lot of snowflake designs that look very similar, so I tried to make mine look a little different. I used a base of China Glaze Blue Year's Eve. Then I used some scotch tape to make the V-shape and painted the tips with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Silver Sweep. To make it look shimmery, I added Essie Luxeffects in Pure Pearlfection. Then I stamped with Konad M59 in Konad White. Lastly, I added some blue rhinestones. I was worried I was adding too much, but I ended up really liking the end result =]

I'm back from my honeymoon!

Aloooooha! I have missed all my lovely followers and I'm excited to start blogging again. In case anyone missed it, I got married on July 14th in Hawaii and had a lovely honeymoon there. My husband and I actually got back home last week, but we spent another week just enjoying time off from work. I'll post a few pics, but our professional photos will be done in about 2 weeks so I'll share more with you all at that time.

I decided to do my own nails for the wedding. I bought a few pink nail polishes and took forever picking which one to use, but I'm happy with my selection. For my base color I used O.P.I. Strawberry Margarita. It's a bright, medium shade of pink. It's a creme and I believe I used 3 coats here. I used BM 220 in Konad White. I added silver glitter to the center of all the flowers. Sorry for the blurry photos. We were on the 29th floor of our hotel and I was trying to take these pics ASAP and go back inside. It was actually terrifying for me just standing on our balcony because it was so high up lol. I would've taken more pics, but I was so busy that I didn't find the time.

I'll post a few of our professional pics when I get them next month, but I just want to share a part of my wedding with you all <3

Pirate Mani 6

So this is my last pirate mani. I actually wore this for the Pirates premiere this whole weekend because I work at a movie theater so it suited the occasion. When I think of pirates, I think of treasure and skulls so I wanted to incorporate that into this mani. I used China Glaze in Passion for the base color. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black Out for the sponged tips. I could've done some more sponging to make the tips look cleaner, but I was kind of rushing because I had to get ready for work. I stamped using BM 211 in Konad black. Now that pirates week is over for me, I can finally try out all my Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat polishes!

Pirate Mani 4

If anyone thinks this mani is not totally cute you're crazy lol! Jk. Go ahead, but I love this little skull image! I'm actually having quite a good time doing these Pirates of the Carribean inspired manis this week. I hope you guys aren't sick of them yet because I have a couple more. I used fauxnad M39 for the little skull with crossbones and I used Konad M64 for the tip design. I stamped in Konad white.

Pirate Mani 3

So as you guys know, there are mermaids in the POTC movies, so of course I had to have at least one mani with a mermaid. Too bad the fauxnad plate I own with a mermaid totally sucks and I could only get a clean pick up of the image once =[ For the base color I used Orly in It's Up to Blue. It's pretty sheer, I used two coats, but three would be better for complete opacity. The mermaid is from fauxnad M72 and the fish are from fauxnad M14. I stamped using Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Silver Sweep. I wanted the tips to look like mermaid tail scales, but my fiancee thought they were waves so I'll have to do another mani that actually looks like a mermaid's tail, but for the design I used BM 217 and also stamped in Silver Sweep.

I went to bed before topcoat and I got lines all over my nails =|

The mermaid! Too bad she didn't want to cooperate with me.

Pirate Mani 1

Arggh mateys! Pirates of the Carribean On Stranger Tides comes out this Friday! I want to do a few pirate themed nails. This is partly because I work at a movie theater so I will at least have a purpose to wear crazy pirate nails =] This is something I did really quick before bed so it's not perfect, but I think its pretty cute. I stamped using BM 225 in Konad white. I did a different mani last night but I'm not sure if I'm going to post it because my stupid fauxnad plate with a mermaid barely picks up on my stamper. Oh well. Who else is going to be doing pirate nails?!

More OPI Katy Perry Polish!

I actually did this mani last week and I'm glad I have something to show you guys because I'm still wearing my gorgeous teenage dream mani. I used OPI Not Like the Movies and stamped with Konad M57 in Konad black. When I first saw swatches of the color I wasn't too crazy about it because personally I like wearing bright colors, but after trying it out for myself, I ended up really liking it. It's a duochrome polish that appears purple, green, and silver at different angles. I tried taking a few different pics to show the different personalities of this polish.

Grr sorry my pictures are rotated for some odd reason.

Nautical Star Mani

Good morning everyone! I can't believe I'm at 22 followers now! Thanks to those who take time to read my blog =] So I guess you can call this a nautical or Nor-Cal mani. I used L.A. Girl Disco Brites in Disco Fever and stamped with BM plates 220 and 206 in Konad black. I was really hesistant to try the tip designs cuz they look huge, but I was actually really happy with how these turned out! Don't really know how I feel about that little open space on the bottom, but I was too lazy to stamp an extra star in between everything.

Royal Wedding Nails

I'm sure there's tons of people in the nail community doing the same as me this week--Royal Wedding nails! I actually hate how these came out because I used Sinful Colors in Miami Heat and I hate the formula. I feel like it never dries! Unfortunately, this was the only royal blue color I own. Also, I wanted to add crown stamps from BM 08, but for some reason I could not get the crowns to pick up on my stamp =[ Anyways, I used BM 10 for the tips and stamped with CG Passion.

The first picture is the true color of the polish. Sorry I didn't even do clean up, but I wasn't sure I was even going to post pics lol.
