Happy 1st day of Spring! I had a fun-filled weekend on Friday & Saturday. Mr. Heartnat, a couple friends, and I went to LA to go to a Suns vs Lakers game and while we were there we did some tourist-y things like visit LACMA, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese theater, and go shopping. Today was an awesome lazy Sunday! Anywhoo, here's this cool saran wrap smush marble I did a few weeks ago with OPI Let Me Bayou a Drink, OPI Humidi-Tea, and OPI Take a Right on Bourbon. I like how delicate this turned out.

OPI Nordic Saran Wrap Smush & MoYou London Princess 12
Happy Saturday! Today I have a mani I wore a week ago to a friend's birthday party. I wanted something colorful and eye-catching, so I went with something I haven't done in such a long time--a saran wrap mani! I do love how saran wrap manis look, but it just takes a little bit more time and clean up than a typical manicure so I don't do them very often. Maybe if I had Liquid Palisade I would do more messy nail art, but I just haven't taken the plunge yet. What are your thoughts from those of you who have tried it?
I started off with a white base of Morgan Taylor All White Now and then did the saran wrap smush using blobs of OPI Can't Afjord Not To, OPI Suzi Has A Swede Tooth, and OPI My Dogsled Is A Hybrid. Lastly, I stamped using MoYou London Princess 12 in Mundo de Unas White.

Saran Wrap Smush & Triangles with MoYou London Pro 02 XL
Hey lacquer lovers! I had naked nails for a few days last week and when I finally had time to paint my nails, I didn't know what to do! Do you guys ever find yourself in the same dilemma? I decided to do a mani on my to try list of manicures that other wonderful people have created. This was inspired by Leyamonster's design. I started off with a base of Morgan Taylor All White Now and then did the saran wrap smush (blob different colors onto your nail and lightly smush with saran wrap to blend) with Morgan Taylor Lip Service, Morgan Taylor Invitation Only, and Essie in the Cabana. Then I stamped using MoYou London Pro 02 XL in Konad White. I really like how these turned out. It's always nice when you want to re-create something and it comes out right =]

China Glaze New Bohemians & Nailz Craze NC 01
Hey beauties! Today I have a beautiful butterfly wing mani that I will be entering into Nailz Craze stamping contest. I used the same method to do my base as I did in my pastel mani. In case you missed it, I used Miss Jen Fabulous's tutorial here. I started off with a base of China Glaze Rare & Radiant and made the blobs using China Glaze: Unpredictable, Want My Bawdy, Deviantly Daring, and No Plain Jane. I stamped using NC 01 in Konad Black. I added dots using white acrylic paint. Clean up was a pain, but I'm so happy with the result!

Pastel Saran Wrap Marble
Ok so my title sounds a little funky because I'm not really sure what to call the method I used. I used this really awesome tutorial from Jen at Polish and Pearls. I started off with a white base of Zoya Purity and then doing one nail at a time, made blobs of polish using China Glaze: Lemon Fizz, Something Sweet, Re-fresh Mint, and Kinetic Candy. While the blobs were still wet, I placed a piece of saran wrap on top of my nail and pressed lightly to smush the polish and then gently removed it. It is really such a cool way of doing nail art. I was kind of amazed at how it looks. After that was all done, I stamped using BM 208 in Konad White. Pretty awesome right?!
